Mike Price began his insurance career right out of college when he was hired by Aetna. He was sent to Aetna’s extensive underwriting training program, and then was assigned a book of clients in the Western Regional Headquarters. After several years of working on Aetna’s Mid-market segment, he jumped at the opportunity to move up to National Accounts with a different insurance company, United Healthcare. As a National Accounts underwriter, he had much more interaction directly with clients.

Discovering that he actually enjoyed these client interactions, he decided to move over to the broker side of the insurance business where he successfully helped build and run a National Accounts practice for a regional brokerage firm. After many successful years, he was overcome with an entrepreneurial itch. Fortunately, he had been co-brokering a client with Tad Brenneman for 10 years, so he and Tad created BP Benefits Insurance Services.

• 12 years as a Sr. Account Executive, National Accounts, Sitzmann, Morris & Lavis
• 2 years as an Underwriter for United Healthcare National Accounts
• 6 years as an Underwriter for Aetna Mid-Market Accounts

• BS in Finance from San Francisco State University
• BS in Real Estate from San Francisco State University
